The quilt will feature a sequence for each of the 35 SU students killed in the bombing of Pan Am 103. The goal is to celebrate the lives of the special people the SU community lost 10 years ago. Several Central New York quilting guilds will be here to help, and the general public is also welcome. Quilting will begin at 9 a.m. and end at 5 p.m.

We welcome many speakers including George Williams, President of Victims of Pan Am 103, Inc., Cory Loudenslager, SU law student whose sister died on TWA 800, and Roy Simmons Jr., former SU Lacrosse headcoach. Each will be asked to answer the question “How should we respond to Pan Am 103?”

Memorial Service and Moment of Silence
    The Place of Remembrance
Thursday, October 22 at 12 noon
A memorial service to commemorate the 35 victims of Flight 103 will be held at 12 noon on October 22nd at SU's monument wall in front of the Hall of Languages. During the service Remembrance Scholars will recite victims’ names and lay roses in their honor. Following the service, we ask the entire University community, no matter where they are or what they are doing, to join us in a moment of silence as Crouse College rings the chimes 35 times.

If you are unable to attend the memorial service, please observe the moment of silence when you hear the chimes begin.

    Residential Advisor Dormitory Awareness
    All North Campus Dormitories
Throughout the academic year Resident Advisors will work within their dormitories to inform students of what happened to Pan Am 103, and its impact on the SU campus. They will also help distribute blue ribbons to raise awareness and spark discussion.
