Washington, D.C. 20520

Dear Madam Secretary:

There have been recent news accounts about possible limits on the Pan Am 103 prosecution in pursuing higher-ups and other culpable individuals besides the two Libyan agents now awaiting trial in The Hague.

Our Committee Investigative Council has already spoken with the Coordinator for Counter-Terrorism Office and asked for any and all information that the State Department may have on this subject matter, including purported letters from the UN, and other diplomats dealing with limits on prosecution for the Pan Am 103 terrorist attack.

This letter will serve as a follow-up to the Committee Councel's broad request for these letters and any other information in the possesion of the State Department. I urge that all of the information we are seeking be quickly and completely provided so that we do not create any public doubts or concerns about the commitment we all share to bringing to justice all of those responsible for this terrible act of international terrorism.

I appreciate your attention to this matter, and look forward to your prompt reply.

My best wishes,

Sincerly,

(signed)

Benjamin A. Gilman
Chairman
