Les Coleman tells Deep Times Readers:

"We Need Your Help!"

Was the TWA crash a terrorist attack waiting to happen? Les Coleman’s book, Trail of the Octopus, exposes the US government’s bungling and cover-up of the Pan Am 103 bombing in 1988. Coleman should know, he was there as a former Defense Intelligence Agent in the National Military Collections Agency MC-10 Section - HUMINT Operations. Coleman blew the whistle about the government cover-up of Syria’s involvement in the bombing for political reasons.

The blame for the Pan Am bombing was shifted from Syria and Iran to Libya. Damascus is the breeding ground for every middle east terrorist group. Hezbollah, Islamic Jihad, Hamas, PFLP-GC, all are there under the protection of the Syrian government.

What was Les Coleman’s reward for blowing the whistle? Two years in a Swedish refugee camp with his wife and three small children, a target of a US government smear campaign indicted for perjury based on his civil testimony (unheard of) living in exile, penniless.

Colemans Finally Return Home

Les Coleman was finally able to return to the United States with his wife and three small children, thanks to the largess of Forrest James, Governer of Les Coleman's Home State of Alabama, who paid for their transportation.

Upon their October 10, 1996 arrival in the United States, Les Coleman was arrested by the FBI to face purjury charges related to a affadavit he filed in the Pan Am 103 civil case. While an enormous bail was being set for Coleman (the exact amount was not available at the time of this release), his wife and children were headed to Birmingham to live with his ill and impoverished mother. Donations made Christmas an especially warm one for Mary Claude and the children, but necessities such as jackets and health care are still difficult to come by.
